Medan, 19 Januari 2024 – Satuan Pengamanan (satpam) Universitas Terbuka (UT) Medan tak hanya bertugas menjaga keamanan dan ketertiban di lingkungan kampus. Mereka juga turut ambil bagian dalam menyebarluaskan informasi mengenai UT kepada masyarakat luas.
Salah satu yang dilakukan tim security UT Medan adalah membagikan brosur yang berisi informasi seputar UT. Brosur tersebut berisi informasi mengenai sejarah, visi misi, program studi, sistem belajar, hingga biaya kuliah UT.
“Kami membagikan brosur UT kepada masyarakat yang datang ke kampus UT Medan,” ujar Kepala Seksi Keamanan UT Medan, Rufti Setiawan Lubis.
Rufti mengatakan bahwa kegiatan pembagian brosur UT ini merupakan salah satu upaya UT Medan untuk mengenalkan UT kepada masyarakat luas. Ia berharap kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan minat masyarakat untuk melanjutkan pendidikan ke UT.
“Kami berharap masyarakat dapat memanfaatkan informasi yang tertera di brosur UT untuk menentukan pilihan pendidikan yang tepat,” ujar Rufti.
Selain membagikan brosur, tim security UT Medan juga turut aktif dalam memberikan informasi mengenai UT kepada masyarakat yang bertanya. Mereka memberikan informasi secara lengkap dan informatif agar masyarakat dapat memahami UT dengan baik.
Kegiatan ini disambut baik oleh masyarakat. Beberapa masyarakat yang menerima brosur UT mengaku tertarik untuk melanjutkan pendidikan ke UT.
“Saya baru tahu kalau UT itu bisa kuliah sambil kerja. Saya tertarik untuk mendaftar UT,” ujar salah satu masyarakat yang menerima brosur UT.
Kegiatan pembagian brosur UT oleh tim security UT Medan ini merupakan salah satu bentuk komitmen UT Medan untuk memberikan akses pendidikan yang seluas-luasnya kepada masyarakat. UT Medan menargetkan untuk dapat menjangkau lebih banyak masyarakat di Sumatera Utara melalui berbagai kegiatan sosialisasi dan promosi.
